A Toast to Laura and Dave on Their Wedding Day
<--Back to Samples
Talk about soul mates. Talk about an indisputable bond. How do
you do it, Laura and Dave, with your incredible union of eighteen
years, and now marriage? I want to know your secret. I surely want to learn
what makes your relationship work so well. You must have inherited
some kind of love skill or love potion. Maybe you researched about
ancient tribes and from your findings established a set of norms
with which to follow. You seem to have that ancient-tribe quality.
I do think that. It certainly explains your joy of cooking, eating, and
enjoying all the other delights, that life offers. You are fun and easygoing.
You can be that way at home, at the bicycle shop, visiting family, riding your
motorcycles, exercising, having beers on the lake, watching television, playing
with your cats, or being engaged in all those under-the-sheet activities that
people do together.
You are never apart, Laura and Dave. This is what makes me
think that you must have a very special union. For instance, I know how
couples on vacation will take time from each other. Those same couples
usually work at different locations, shop at different stores, go to
different gyms, and play different sports, although not always. They work
indoors or outdoors, gardening or repairing, sewing or cleaning. In
your case, none of this is true, for your mission in life is to be
together. That's my impression after spending some time with you. You never
get bored with each other. Moreover, if you did get bored, you would
discover something new to spark your interest or recreate something old
and make it new.
The system for you is a bonding in the fullest sense. You have no
desire to be without each other. You love each other's company too
much to be apart. One out of a million can realize your camaraderie.
Maybe you lived previous lives together or drank that magic potion a long
time ago. Maybe your cats put a spell on you to do 24/7 now and
always. Whatever the reason, your partnership of eighteen years has me
thinking one thought - that it is possible and probable for you, Laura and
Dave, to be closer in marriage. I believe that, given your history and
those ancient tribal ways you instituted back when you started your journey
together. Whatever it is, please keep it happening because you are
the premium of couples. You shape dreams.
